Adobe and Apple have worked closely together to test Adobe Creative Cloud applications for reliability, performance, and user experience when installed on Intel-based systems running Mac OS X El Capitan (version 10.11). The latest versions of all Creative Cloud products are compatible.
The subscription versions do not run on El Capitan. I have a nice 2008 MacPro that will not upgrade beyond El Capitan. So, I can't use the current Lightroom on it. I've asked at the Adobe site via screen help and they just say, basically, too bad about that. Does anyone know a way I can use. Adobe has released Lightroom CC 2015.2 and Lightroom 6.2, along with Adobe Camera Raw 9.2! This release adds a bevy of new features, takes a bunch away, adds camera and lens profiles for some Leica gear - and comes with a big caveat for Apple Mac OS X El Capitan users. However, I was unhappy about how long Adobe took to fix glaring issues in their previous Lightroom 5, and now Adobe's new policies for Lightroom 6 are another thorn in my side. Specifically, the policy that standalone versions of Lightroom 6 will get no feature updates is just a poor way to treat new and long-time Lightroom customers.

We are aware of some issues that users may experience after upgrading to OS X El Capitan (10.11). We are working hard to resolve these issues in a forthcoming release and we currently recommend users upgrade to the latest version of OS X (10.11.1) or remain on OS X 10.10.x.
Anyone else use (or rather have problems using!) Adobe CC and Lightroom CC on Mac El Capitan? I’m a very light and infrequent user of LR. In fact, don’t switch my laptop on that often. When I did so recently there were some Mac OSX software updates and (I think) and Adobe CC update.
